On a disappointing note, we already know that Apple won't be holding the Macworld Expo in 2010 as the annual event was suspended earlier this year by the Cupertino-based company. But this doesn't keep Apple from planning other self-hosted events in order to interact with the users.
One such event is planned for January 26th at the in San Francisco at the the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. This happens to be the same venue where Apple organizes most of it's music-related events and if the rumors are true, it is expected that Apple shall pull the curtains off its new Tablet device at this event.
Here is a short account by Financial Times who exclusively reported about the upcoming event:
The company has rented a stage at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco for several days in late January, according to people familiar with the plans. Apple is expected to use the venue to make a major product announcement on Tuesday, January 26th.
Given that Apple nearly updated its whole line of iPods at the very same venue only a couple of months ago, we can assure that the event is not focused on music or the iPod. Rather it is more wise to believe that Apple might have plans to reveal the new Tablet at the event or who knows, even the new iPhone 4G?
